There are a range of new initiatives underway in the department. Many of which, are associated with industrial partners including Wycombe Wanderers, Wasps, Buckinghamshire county Rugby Union, Wycombe District Council and Milton Keynes Council. One consequence of these relationships is that our first destination record for placing students in employment is excellent.

The Wellesbourne Exercise Facility is the centrepiece of the department. The facilities including a performance laboratory, match analysis system and online gas analysis have gained the department an enviable reputation as an excellent resource for academic and recreational use alike.
