The faculty of Leisure & Tourism’s new Foundation degrees offer:

Specific Management And Related-industry Teaching in Sport, Music,
Airline/Airport, Recreation & Tourism.

This unique range of Foundation degrees is designed to help you develop the knowledge and skills you need to succeed in the workplace.

What is a BCUC Foundation degree?
Theses new Foundation degrees are vocational, higher education qualification created by links between BCUC and relevant industry employers.

How will they be delivered?
The degrees will be taught in two route-ways:
(a) Full-time study
(b) Work-based part-time study

What benefits does it offer?
They offer employee involvement, therefore validating the applicability, skills and knowledge developed. They also offer credit accumulation and transfer/progression toward the acquisition of other qualifications.

What are the entry requirements?
There are no set entry requirements, but normally your eligibility will relate to one of the following:

  • An Advanced Modern Apprenticeship with level 3 qualifications
  • GNVQs/NVQs or other level 3 vocational qualifications
  • A levels or vocational A levels
  • No traditional qualifications, but you may be able to gain admission through AP(E)L.
